Carreras Auto Glass (“Carreras Auto Glass,” “we,” “us”) is a mobile auto glass repair and replacement business based in Phoenix, Arizona. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit carrerasautoglass.com, request a quote, call, text or email us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, just ask us.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you fill out our quote form, call, text or email us, we may collect:

• Contact details: full name, phone number and email address.
• Vehicle details: make, model, year and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
• Service details: the type of service you need (for example, windshield replacement or chip repair), your service address or location, and photos you choose to send us.
• Insurance details: whether you are using insurance and, if so, your insurance company, policy or claim number and related information needed to process the claim.
• Anything else you tell us in a message, call or email.

We do not take online payments on this website, and we do not ask you to create an account.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, when you visit ours, some information is collected automatically by our site and the tools listed in Section 4, including:

• Your IP address and approximate location (city or region).
• Browser type, device type and operating system.
• Pages you view, how long you stay, the link or ad that brought you here, and actions such as tapping our phone number or submitting the form.
• Cookie and similar identifiers (see Section 4).

2. How we use your information

• To prepare your quote, schedule your appointment and perform the repair or replacement.
• To contact you about your quote, appointment, job status or any follow-up or warranty question.
• To work with your insurance company on your claim, if you choose to use insurance.
• To order the correct glass and parts for your vehicle and, when needed, to calibrate driver-assistance (ADAS) cameras and sensors.
• To understand how people use our website and improve it.
• To measure and show our ads on platforms like Google and Facebook/Instagram.
• To keep our website secure and filter spam.
• To keep business records and comply with the law.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business and do your job:

• Your insurance company (and its claims administrator), if you ask us to bill insurance for your service.
• Glass suppliers and parts distributors, who may need your vehicle details and VIN to supply the right part.
• ADAS calibration partners, when your vehicle’s cameras or sensors need recalibration after the glass work.
• Service providers that help us run our website and communications, such as our website host, email delivery, form, analytics, security and spam-filtering tools (listed in Section 4). They may use your information only to provide their services to us or as described in their own privacy policies.
• Legal reasons: if required by law, a subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
• Business transfer: if our business is ever sold or merged, customer information may transfer to the new owner, who would have to respect this policy.

We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

4. Cookies, analytics and advertising tools

Our website uses cookies, pixels and similar technologies. Some are placed by us and some by third parties. These third parties may collect information about your activity on our site and on other websites over time, and use it to provide measurement services and to target and deliver ads, including ads for us.

Tools we use

• Google Analytics (installed through Google Site Kit) helps us understand how visitors find and use our site. Google may also provide us with Search Console reports about how our site appears in Google Search. • Google Ads (if we run Google ads) may use cookies to measure our ads and to show our ads to people who visited our site (“remarketing”) on Google and partner sites.
• Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), installed through the PixelYourSite plugin, records visits and actions such as form submissions so we can measure our ads and show relevant ads to you and people like you on Facebook and Instagram. See Meta’s Privacy Policy.
• Jetpack by WordPress.com provides site statistics, security and performance features. Its Akismet service checks form submissions and comments for spam, which may involve sending the submission and related data (such as IP address) to Automattic. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy.
• Google Reviews widget and Google Maps: pages that show our Google reviews or an embedded map load content from Google, which may set cookies and receive your IP address. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
• WPForms and WP Mail SMTP run our quote form and deliver the form details to our business email inbox.

How to opt out

You can control or turn off much of this tracking:

• Google ad personalization: adssettings.google.com
• Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
• Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ads: manage your Ad Preferences and ad settings while logged in
• Industry opt-outs: the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) opt-out and the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) WebChoices tool; for mobile apps, the DAA AppChoices app. Visitors in Europe can use Your Online Choices.
• Your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block all cookies, some parts of the site may not work as expected.

Opting out of interest-based ads does not mean you will stop seeing ads; they will just be less tailored to you. Opt-outs are usually specific to the browser and device you use.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no common industry standard for how websites should respond to it, so our website does not currently respond to DNT signals. You can still use the opt-out tools above to limit tracking.

5. Phone calls and text messages

If you give us your phone number, you agree that we may call or text you about your quote, appointment and service, such as appointment confirmations, arrival updates, reminders and follow-ups. These are service messages, not marketing. We will only send marketing texts if you separately agree to receive them.

• Message frequency varies with your service. Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. You can also call or email us to opt out.
• Consent to receive texts is not a condition of buying our services.
• We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Text messaging opt-in data is not shared with anyone except service providers that help us deliver the messages.

Calls to our business line may be handled by our team or a phone service we use. If we ever record calls, we will tell you at the start of the call.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep your information only as long as we reasonably need it: to complete your service, handle any warranty or insurance follow-up, keep required business, tax and accounting records, resolve disputes and comply with the law. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous. Website analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the tools described above.

7. How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, such as secure (HTTPS) connections on our website, password-protected accounts and limiting access to the people who need it to do your job. No website, email or storage system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information like Social Security numbers or full payment card numbers through our form or by email.

If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and, where required, government authorities, as required by applicable law, including Arizona’s data breach notification law (A.R.S. § 18-551 and § 18-552).

8. Your choices and rights

No matter where you live, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we have about you.
• Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your information, unless we need to keep it for a legal, tax, warranty, insurance or security reason.
• Stop calling, texting or emailing you.

Some states give residents additional privacy rights; if a law like that applies to your information, we will honor the rights it gives you.

California residents: under California’s “Shine the Light” law, you may ask whether we share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not.

9. Children’s privacy

Our website and services are meant for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Links to other websites

Our site may link to other websites, such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, review sites or your insurance company. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes, we will post a clear notice on our website. Using our website after an update means you accept the updated policy.
